Palm Sunday Liturgy

• 9:30am Palm Procession with St. Anthony's Catholic Church. We will begin outside by the St. Bede's back parking lot.

• Holy Eucharist with Passion Reading
  8:00am (Nave) & 10:00am (Nave & Zoom)
  Sign-up in the narthex (entryway) or by contacting the office to read in the Passion at the 10am liturgy. The rehearsal will be after the 10am liturgy on Sunday, March 17.

There will be no 9am lectionary discussion or noon catechesis today.

Community Prayer Walk

3:00-5:00pm
Meet in the north parking lot.

Join the Christian community in Forest Grove to walk and pray for our churches and civic offices. Our walk is modeled on the annual Palm Sunday church walk in Jerusalem and is 3.5 miles long.

Maundy Thursday Liturgy

7:00pm
Location: Nave (Sanctuary) & Zoom

Commemoration of the institution of the Holy Eucharist by Jesus “on the night he was betrayed” with ceremonial foot washing and stripping of the altar. Maundy Thursday is the beginning of the Easter Triduum, which also includes Good Friday and the Great Vigil of Easter. These three services constitute one continuous liturgy, leading us to the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord at the Easter Vigil.

There will be no 5pm Zoom Evening Prayer or 5:30pm Pub Fellowship today.

Vigil at the Altar of Repose

Overnight, 8:30pm-7:30am

Location: Chapel

At the Altar of Repose, we keep vigil in silent prayer and adoration, recalling our Lord’s agony in the Garden of Gethsemane. Sign up in the narthex (entryway) or contact the office to reserve an hour slot.

Stations of the Cross & Passion Play with St. Anthony's

4:30pm

Location: Beginning in the St. Anthony's Catholic Church parish hall (1660 Elm St.) and then processing to the baseball field.

St. Anthony's Catholic Church invites us to join in their annual stations of the cross and Passion play on Good Friday. Vicar Marlene will read each station in English and Fr. Ben of St. Anthony's will read in Spanish.

Good Friday Liturgy

7:00pm

Location: Nave (Sanctuary) & Zoom

Commemoration of Jesus' crucifixion with the chanted Passion, veneration of the cross, and Communion from the Reserved Sacrament. Good Friday is the second part of the Easter Triduum, which also includes Maundy Thursday and the Great Vigil of Easter. These three services constitute one continuous liturgy, leading us to the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord at the Easter Vigil.

Holy Saturday Liturgy

9:00am

Location: Nave (Sanctuary)

On Holy Saturday, we recall the day when the crucified Christ visited among the dead while his body lay in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea.

The Great Vigil of Easter

7:30pm

Location: Nave (Sanctuary) & Zoom

In this principle Easter liturgy, we honor the resurrection of Jesus through darkness and light, the story of the salvation of God's people as written in our Holy Scriptures, and a proclamation of Jesus' triumph over sin and death through his resurrection, culminating in a celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The agape feast will follow the service.

Please note that there will be incense at this service.

Easter Sunday Liturgy

10:00am | Holy Eucharist, Rite II

No 8am liturgy, 9am formation, or noon catechesis today.
